2010/2011 Season
17 Apr 2011

After a slow start the season turned out to be a tremendous success!

The boys probably took a quarter of the season to get used to their positions and playing with a new group of team mates. Penalties proved a problem, with us missing 7 out of 8.

However after the New Year we really showed our class, going on an amazing run of victories that rocketed us up the league.

Th defence was rock solid giving away only one goal a game (average). At the other end, we had chances but often panicked at the last minute. Next season I'm looking for 2 players to step up to the mark and score 15 goals or more, which will be a massive improvement.

And so we reached the YEL Cup Final and Runners Up spot in the league - very impressive. We now look forward to a visit to Nottingham Forest to collect our trophies.

Throughout the season it's been a pleasure to coach you boys and watch your rapid improvement.

You got your just deserves in 2010/11 - well done!

2009/10 Season
11 May 2010

A difficult season for the boys. Started as two-times league champions, however two draws in the first two games seemed to unsettle them.

We lost Jaydan to Sports and spent several games trying to readjust and find a new system.

Ultimately we just couldn't score this season (we scored less than half last years talley).

All of that said, we still made the YEL Cup Semi Final and more proudlly the Final of the Notts Shield. Depite losing 1-0 to Priory Celtic, the Rolls boys proved they are still a great footballing side, who will give any team a good game.

A fond farewell to Curtis Hall, who signed for Notts County, the second Rolls player to join a professional club and a sign of how talented these boys are.

Having now merged with the Priory boys and waving goodbye to the small sided game, we look forward to a good season at 11 a-side!

2008/09 Season

2008/09 Season:

Following the success of winning the double in the previous season, Rolls were pitched in Division One of the Saturday Under 9's YEL League.

The boys again showed their skill, grit and determination. Despite losing the talented Kielen Gretton to Nottingham Forest, Shane made the astute signing of Jack Harrison from Hucknall Sports.

Throughout the season the boys delivered week-in-week-out. Culminating in them winning the season with 2 games to spare. Their achievement of only dropping 4 points all season was outstanding. And so they again look forward to a visit to Notts County ground to collect their winners trophy.

They continue to do their parents proud and we all look forward to the start of the new season. Rolls are clearly the team to beat and the boys will have to step up to the mantle. Lead by the new Manager, Alistair Humphries we eagerly anticipate another great season.................so bring it on!

2007/08 Season

2007/08 Season :

The boys entered the YEL League for the first year. They were pitched against teams across Nottinghamshire in the Saturday Red Division.

The results were simply outstanding, with them showing a level of play that was in advance of their years. The boys managed to win the league without losing a single game and were entered into the Cup to pitch their talents against the best teams in Nottinghamshire. The boys again delivered outstanding displays, beating the likes of Long Eaton Utd, Wollaton Hall, Carlton Town and Priory Celtic on their way to the YEL Cup final at Calverton.

The best four teams in the YEL were drawn together in a league format - Burton Joyce, Woodhouse, West Bridgford Red Leopards and Rolls Royce Leisure

The first match saw Rolls against Burton Joyce. The boys started emphatically and ended up winning 3 -0. The second match pitched them against the renowned Woodhouse. With several players already Academy bound, Rolls and Woodhouse showed their strength and skill with neither side able to break the deadlock, the game ended 0-0.

The boys now entered their final game against West Bridgford. The game was tense, with neither side able to penetrate strong defences. With only seconds left to play Rolls scored the winning goal.

The boys had managed to achieve what their season deserved - winners of the under 8's League and Cup. The reward was a trip to Notts County ground to receive their winning trophies.

2006/07 Season
16 Feb 2010

2006/07 - Humble Beginnings:

Many of the boys first got their taste for football at the Rolls Royce Leisure Saturday Soccer School. Ran by Andy Corah, the boys learnt the technique and skills which would lead to future league and cup success.

Shane Briody hand picked the boys to form an under 7's team. The first few friendlies quickly showed the boys had something special. The goals came thick and fast and from every position. It was clear that this team was one of the strongest in the county.
